The transformation realized in the essence of the \u201cinformation\u201d by modern thought, changed initially the perception of the self and then inevitably the perception of sacred. The sacred knowledge (scentia sacra) which had a central place in traditional thought entitled self to exist only in divine intelligence (intellect) and the tradition regarded the self as the personality which must be disciplined. However, modern thought made a separation between the self that knows and the self that is known, and desacralized the information by shifting the center of the information from divine to the human one. The thought about the relativity of the truth which based on idea of the inaccessibility of the truth was born in postmodern times as a reaction to the perception of the one dimensional and imposing truth of modernism, which once replaced the traditional conception of multi layered truth. That postmodern thought is the most important factor in the emergence of the narcissist self.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Keywords: <\/strong> Knowledge, Self, Narcissist Self, Sacred, Scentia Sacra.<\/p>\n<h1>Premodern\u2019den Postmodern\u2019e Benli\u011fin ve Kutsal\u0131n D\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fc: Narsisist Benli\u011fin Kutsal Alg\u0131s\u0131<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00d6zet: <\/strong> Benlik kavram\u0131n\u0131, v\u00fclgarize ederek s\u00f6ylemek gerekirse, modern \u00f6ncesi ve sonras\u0131 olmak \u00fczere ay\u0131rmak gerekir. Modern d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncenin \u201cbilgi\u201dnin mahiyeti \u00fczerinde meydana getirmi\u015f oldu\u011fu d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm \u00f6ncelikle benlik alg\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 ve ka\u00e7\u0131n\u0131lmaz olarak kutsal alg\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 de\u011fi\u015ftirmi\u015ftir. Gelene\u011fin i\u00e7inde merkezi konuma sahip olan \u201ckutsal bilgi\u201d (scentia sacra) benli\u011fe, ancak \u201cK\u00fclli akl\u201d (intellect) ile varl\u0131k sahas\u0131 tan\u0131m\u0131\u015f ve benli\u011fi terbiye edilmesi gereken \u201cnefs\u201d olarak g\u00f6rm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. Modern d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce ise \u201cbilen\u201d ve \u201cbilinen\u201d benlik ayr\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 yaparak bilginin merkezini ilahi olandan be\u015feri olana ta\u015f\u0131yarak bilginin \u201cdesacralizasyonunu\u201d (kutsall\u0131ktan ar\u0131nd\u0131rma) temin etmi\u015ftir. Gelene\u011fin \u00e7ok katmanl\u0131 hakikat telakkisi yerine ge\u00e7en modernizmin tek boyutlu ve dayatmac\u0131 hakikat alg\u0131s\u0131na tepki olarak postmodern zamanlarda hakikatin ula\u015f\u0131lamaz oldu\u011fu fikrine dayanan hakikatin izafili\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncesi do\u011fmu\u015ftur.
