Abstract: <\/strong> History of the Turkish Republic expresses a period with considerably sharp transformations with its past which almost reaches one century. It is known that objective studies have been made on the axises on which these transformations took place at home and abroad; nevertheless, in the last analysis, it can be claimed that the occurrences in republican history are determined by subjective evaluations such as forward-backward, revolutionary-counter revolutionary etc. It can be said that most narrations as to what happened in the past suffer from this weakness albeit implicitly; within this framework, the thesis that history is more an ideology than a science should be contemplated. Even if it is accepted that history is science, it is hardly negligible that it is read from the pen of the mighty, for which reason it is the most Darwinist of all sciences. In this paper an attempt is made to provide and overview of republican history through its main lines; and additional reading is recommended. This is an attempt to sometimes see through an alternative perspective what happened in the last ninety five years. <\/p>\n

\u00d6zet: <\/strong> T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti tarihi, bir asra yakla\u015fan ge\u00e7mi\u015fiyle olduk\u00e7a keskin d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcmlerin g\u00f6zlendi\u011fi bir s\u00fcreci ifade ediyor. Bu d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcmlerin i\u00e7eride ve d\u0131\u015far\u0131daki hangi de\u011fi\u015fimler ekseninde meydana geldi\u011fi konusunda, nesnel ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131n yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 bilinmekle birlikte; son tahlilde, cumhuriyet tarihinde olan bitenleri ileri-geri; devrimci-kar\u015f\u0131 devrimci \u015feklindeki \u00f6znel de\u011ferlendirmelerin belirledi\u011fi de s\u00f6ylenebilir. Ge\u00e7mi\u015fte, nelerin olup bitti\u011fine dair \u00e7o\u011fu anlat\u0131m\u0131n, \u00f6rt\u00fcl\u00fc de olsa bu zaafla malul oldu\u011fu s\u00f6ylenebilir; bu \u00e7er\u00e7evede, tarihin bilimden ziyade, ideoloji oldu\u011funa ili\u015fkin tezler \u00fczerinde d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmek gerekiyor. Tarihin bilim oldu\u011fu kabul edilse bile, g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fcn\u00fcn kaleminden okundu\u011fu, bu nedenle bilimlerin en Darwinist\u2019i oldu\u011fu tezi, ihmal edilebilir gibi g\u00f6z\u00fckm\u00fcyor. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti tarihinin ana hatlar\u0131 \u00fczerinden ku\u015fbak\u0131\u015f\u0131 bir g\u00f6zlem deneniyor; ek okumalar \u00f6neriliyor. Son doksan be\u015f y\u0131lda nelerin olup, nelerin bitti\u011fine ili\u015fkin kimi zaman alternatif bir perspektiften bak\u0131lmaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131l\u0131yor. <\/p>\n
