Postmodernism concept, suggested as a solution to the dilemma that modernism fell into, reflects a period when radical changes were experienced in numerous fields related to social change and transitions and also in production and consumption ways with the effect of the factors such as changes experienced in globalization, information and communication technologies and spreading of mass communication devices.<br \/>\nModernization has brought along a transition from the production society to the consumption society. Increase of production capacity and change of production ways has mandated change of consumption ways and removal of the borders in every sense by globalization. Consumption has gone beyond the vital needs such as food, drink and sheltering along with postmodernism, and has influenced an extremely large area consisting of life style and relaxation activities, and has led to the emergence of consumption culture.<br \/>\nModernism, postmodernism and consumption culture concepts are dealt with in the present article and evaluations of these concepts are scrutinized. In shaping of the consumption culture making up the basic problem of the article, the effects and reflections of modernism and postmodernism processes are revealed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Keywords: <\/strong> Modernism, Postmodernism, Consumption Culture.<\/p>\n<h1>\nModernizm ve Postmodernizm S\u00fcre\u00e7lerinin T\u00fcketim K\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcne Yans\u0131malar\u0131<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00d6zet: <\/strong> Eskiden yeniye ge\u00e7i\u015fi ifade eden modernizm kavram\u0131 ya\u015fam tarzlar\u0131n\u0131n farkl\u0131la\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131, bireyselle\u015fmeyi, geleneksel yap\u0131ya ba\u011fl\u0131 olmayan bir toplumsal yap\u0131y\u0131 i\u00e7eren ve sosyal, iktisadi ve siyasi a\u00e7\u0131dan birey-toplum-devlet ili\u015fkisini \u015fekillendiren bir s\u00fcreci ifade etmektedir. Modernizmin i\u00e7ine d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc\u011f\u00fc \u00e7\u0131kmaza \u00e7are olarak ortaya at\u0131lan postmodernizm kavram\u0131 ise k\u00fcreselle\u015fme, bilgi ve ileti\u015fim teknolojilerinde ya\u015fanan de\u011fi\u015fim, kitle ileti\u015fim ara\u00e7lar\u0131n\u0131n yayg\u0131nla\u015fmas\u0131 gibi fakt\u00f6rlerin etkisiyle toplumsal de\u011fi\u015fim ve d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcme ili\u015fkin pek \u00e7ok alanda oldu\u011fu gibi \u00fcretim ve t\u00fcketim \u015fekillerinde de k\u00f6kl\u00fc de\u011fi\u015fikliklerin ya\u015fand\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir d\u00f6nemi yans\u0131tmaktad\u0131r.<br \/>\nModernle\u015fme, \u00fcretim toplumundan t\u00fcketim toplumuna ge\u00e7i\u015fi beraberinde getirmi\u015ftir. \u00dcretim kapasitesinin artmas\u0131 ve \u00fcretim \u015fekillerinin de\u011fi\u015fmesi, k\u00fcreselle\u015fme ile her anlamda s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131n kalkmas\u0131 t\u00fcketim \u015fekillerinin de\u011fi\u015fmesini zorunlu k\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Postmodernizmle birlikte ise t\u00fcketim sadece yeme, i\u00e7me, bar\u0131nma gibi zorunlu ihtiya\u00e7lar\u0131n \u00f6tesine ge\u00e7erek hayat tarz\u0131 ve dinlenme faaliyetlerini de kapsayan son derece geni\u015f bir alan\u0131 etkisi alt\u0131na alarak t\u00fcketim k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn ortaya \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131na yol a\u00e7m\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<br \/>\nBu makalede modernizm, postmodernizm ve t\u00fcketim k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc kavramlar\u0131na yer verilerek bu kavramlara y\u00f6nelik de\u011ferlendirmeler \u00fczerinde durulmaktad\u0131r.
