Abstract: <\/strong> The system of social values attributes masculinity an exclusive position. The man considers deserving this privileged position because of handling hard works in society. Starting in the family, gender knowledge is learned in social relations. Media, as an instrument of delivering this gender knowledge, plays an important role in socialization process. The separation that determines the femininity or masculinity in accordance with social genders, are implemented in every field of society by social institutions. Paternal social system is the main reason causing the gender-based discrimination. In paternal societies, the woman exists with her traditional roles. In contrast to the women whose duties are raising children and cleaning the house, the man is symbolized with strength, and durability and assigned with vital duties. As in the most fields of the society, the women are inferior to the men. The sport that is symbolized with strength, competition, ambition and conflict takes the women as a second class because of their lack of physical strength. Therefore, the inequality between the man and the woman is the main point in this study. Also, male dominance, which is spread via news of sport media, is another important point on which this study focuses. For the research, Turkish sport press was chosen. Fotoma\u00e7 and Fanatik are the two leading newspapers in Turkish sport press. So, The sport news in Fotoma\u00e7 and Fanatik published in 2013, 2014 and 2015 will be examined just for a whole week time period in order to find out gender discrimination.<\/p>\n

\u00d6zet: <\/strong> Toplumsal de\u011ferler sistemi erkekli\u011fe ayr\u0131cal\u0131kl\u0131 bir konum sunmaktad\u0131r. Erkekler, toplumsal alanda kendilerine y\u00fcklenen a\u011f\u0131r i\u015fler sebebiyle bu ayr\u0131cal\u0131kl\u0131 konumu hak ettiklerini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcrler. Ailede ba\u015flayan toplumsal cinsiyet \u00f6\u011frenimi, sosyal ili\u015fkilerle devam ettirilir. Bu \u00f6\u011frenimi kitlelere yayan bir ara\u00e7 olarak medya, toplumsalla\u015fma s\u00fcrecinde \u00f6nemli bir rol oynamaktad\u0131r. Toplumsal cinsiyetlerine g\u00f6re kad\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve erkekli\u011fi belirleyen ayr\u0131\u015ft\u0131rma, ayr\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131k anlam\u0131 y\u00fcklenerek, sosyal kurumlar taraf\u0131ndan toplumun her alan\u0131nda s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclmektedir. Ataerkil sisteme dayal\u0131 toplum yap\u0131s\u0131, cinsiyet temelli ayr\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n ortaya \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131ndaki ba\u015fl\u0131ca sebeplerden birisidir. Ataerkil topluluklarda kad\u0131nlar her zaman geleneksel rolleriyle var olurlar. \u00c7ocuklar\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fctmek ve temizlik yapmak gibi sorumluluklar y\u00fcklenen kad\u0131n\u0131n aksine erkek, g\u00fcc\u00fcn ve dayan\u0131kl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n simgesi olarak g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr ve \u00f6nemli i\u015flerle g\u00f6revlendirilir. Toplumun her alan\u0131nda oldu\u011fu gibi kad\u0131nlar spor alan\u0131nda da ikinci plana itilmektedir. G\u00fc\u00e7, rekabet, h\u0131rs ve \u00e7at\u0131\u015fma konular\u0131yla \u00f6zde\u015fle\u015ftirilen spor alan\u0131, erkekler kadar fiziksel g\u00fcce sahip olmayan kad\u0131nlar\u0131 yok saymaktad\u0131r. Bu nedenlerden dolay\u0131, spordaki kad\u0131n ve erkek e\u015fitsizli\u011fi, bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n odakland\u0131\u011f\u0131 temel noktad\u0131r. Spor bas\u0131n\u0131n\u0131n haber s\u00f6ylemi arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla yay\u0131lan erkek egemenli\u011fi konusu da bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n \u00fczerinde durdu\u011fu di\u011fer bir \u00f6nemli konudur. Bu ba\u011flamda T\u00fcrk spor bas\u0131n\u0131, \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n ara\u015ft\u0131rma b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc i\u00e7in se\u00e7ilmi\u015ftir. T\u00fcrk spor bas\u0131n\u0131n en \u00f6nde gelen iki gazetesi, Fotoma\u00e7 ve Fanatik gazetelerin 2013, 2014 ve 2015 y\u0131llar\u0131ndaki birer haftas\u0131na ait say\u0131lar\u0131 incelenip, cinsiyet ayr\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131na y\u00f6nelik bulgular ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n
