Abstract: <\/strong> Multiculturalism notion has coincided with postmodern era with respect to multicultural sense and policies in the world, even though the notion itself has a long historical background. Emerged in an era where old policies toward ethnic minorities and natives have become obsolete, multicultural view is still recognized and applied hand in hand with alternative views. As a matter of debate in 1990s, while not put into practice until 2000s in Turkey, multicultural liberal policies have found themselves wide media coverage in recent years. Therefore this study aims to shed a light on the process of launching TRT KURDI as the first multiculturalist broadcasting example in Turkey through investigating media examples from Turkey within the public broadcasting frame.<\/p>\n

\u00d6zet: <\/strong> \u00c7okk\u00fclt\u00fcrl\u00fcl\u00fck kavram\u0131 uzun bir ge\u00e7mi\u015fe sahip olsa da \u00e7okk\u00fclt\u00fcrc\u00fc anlay\u0131\u015f ve politikalar anlam\u0131nda modern sonras\u0131 zamana denk gelmektedir. Etnik az\u0131nl\u0131klara ve yerlilere y\u00f6nelik ge\u00e7mi\u015f politikalar\u0131n art\u0131k etkisini yitirdi\u011fi bir d\u00f6nemde ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan \u00e7okk\u00fclt\u00fcrc\u00fcl\u00fck yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan, alternatif yakla\u015f\u0131mlarla birlikte halen an\u0131lmakta ve uygulanmaktad\u0131r. T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de de, 1990\u2019l\u0131 y\u0131llarda \u00e7e\u015fitli nedenlerle dile getirilen, ancak uygulama a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan 2000\u2019li y\u0131llarda \u00f6rneklerini g\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcm\u00fcz \u00e7okk\u00fclt\u00fcrc\u00fc liberal politikalar, medyaya da yans\u0131m\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu nedenle \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada s\u00f6z konusu \u00e7okk\u00fclt\u00fcrc\u00fc politikalar\u0131n T\u00fcrkiye \u00f6zelinde, medya \u00f6rneklerine, kamu hizmeti yay\u0131nc\u0131l\u0131k anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131 \u00e7er\u00e7evesinde de\u011finilecektir. Bu ba\u011flamda T\u00fcrkiye\u2019deki ilk \u00e7okk\u00fclt\u00fcrl\u00fc kamu hizmeti yay\u0131nc\u0131l\u0131k \u00f6rne\u011fi olan TRT K\u00dcRD\u0130\u2019nin a\u00e7\u0131lmas\u0131yla sonu\u00e7lanan s\u00fcrece dikkat \u00e7ekilecektir.<\/p>\n
