Abstract: <\/strong> In the latest years drawing has accelerated and stand out as a frequently used form through contemporary art scene. Because of that, when examined the rise of drawing globally and the variety of productions of the contemporary drawing artists, the words and definitions used for drawing in Turkish language are limited and insufficient. So that, the English word \u201cdrawing\u201d is defined and explained why the word \u201c\u00e7izim\u201d has been chosen for the equivalent of the word drawing by comparing the Turkish definitions. Examples chosen for this work are chosen and examined to reflect the variety by scanning the word drawing. Examples shows how differentiated both the definition and the perspective of drawing. In conclusion, it is pointed out that in Turkish language there are multiple words that has multiple meanings used instead of drawing. Such as; pattern, sketch, study, draft. However, this variety of words are making ambiguity in the language. Instead of the use of these multiple words it has been suggested to use the word \u201c\u00e7izim\u201d on the fields of art.<\/p>\n

\u00d6z: <\/strong> \u00c7izim, son y\u0131llarda g\u00fcncel sanat\u0131n i\u00e7inde ivme kazanm\u0131\u015f, s\u0131kl\u0131kla kullan\u0131lan bir form olarak dikkatleri \u00fczerine \u00e7ekmi\u015ftir. Bu sebeple, \u00e7izimin t\u00fcm d\u00fcnyada y\u00fckseli\u015fe ge\u00e7mesi ve \u00e7izim \u00fczerine \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan yeni nesil sanat\u00e7\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n \u00fcretimlerindeki \u00e7e\u015fitlilikten yola \u00e7\u0131karak, dilimizde \u00e7izim i\u00e7in kullan\u0131lan tan\u0131mlamalar\u0131n k\u0131s\u0131tlay\u0131c\u0131 yap\u0131s\u0131 ve yetersizli\u011fi \u00fczerinden konu incelenmektedir. \u00c7izim kelimesinin \u0130ngilizcedeki kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 olan \u201cdrawing\u201d kelimesinin tan\u0131m\u0131 yap\u0131larak, neden \u201c\u00e7izim\u201d kelimesinin tercih edildi\u011fi, T\u00fcrk\u00e7e\u2019deki tan\u0131mlamalarla kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada yer alan \u00f6rnekler, \u201cdrawing\u201d kelimesi ile yap\u0131lan tarama sonucunda ula\u015f\u0131lan \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi yans\u0131tacak \u015fekilde se\u00e7ilmi\u015f ve incelenmi\u015ftir. \u00d6rnekler \u00e7izim tan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n ve bak\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131n g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde nas\u0131l farkl\u0131la\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6stermektedir. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla, dilimizde \u00e7izim kelimesini kar\u015f\u0131layacak \u00e7e\u015fitli tan\u0131mlamalar\u0131n bulunmas\u0131 fakat bu \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fin kavram karga\u015fas\u0131na yol a\u00e7m\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131 sebebiyle, desen, eskiz, et\u00fcd, taslak gibi her birinin birden \u00e7ok anlam\u0131 bulunan kelimelerin, sanat alan\u0131nda genel isminin \u00e7izim olmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fi sonucuna var\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n
