Abstract: <\/strong> The aim of this study is to examine the examples of the reproduction of female roles attributed by society and to showing that the media presents sexist stereotypes about women and it reinforce their secondary position in patriarchal society. In this study, \u201cParampar\u00e7a\u201d series which reproduces the codes of the patriarchal structure and \u201cMedcezir\u201d series in terms of providing strong female representation were selected as samples. Starting from this point, the same broadcast period of the two series was selected; The arrays were analyzed in terms of scenario, discourse and image by qualitative data analysis method. The female characters of the two sequences were interpreted according to the feminist theory as a result of the data obtained. Why women are not represented in the series as a real form, how the male dominant discourse continues despite the female characters, how women are portrayed in this discourse, constitute the problems of the study.
