The traditional means of providing the legitimacy of states are no longer sufficient. There is a new link between the state and the individual that is not in the traditional period. Nationalism became the most prominent tool in the modern era states. The debates on nationalism continue at a fast pace. In addition to those who argue that nations are natural phenomena and that their roots go back to ancient times, there are some who claim that nations were built under some social, economic and cultural conditions that emerged in the modern era. Some thinkers acknowledge that in the modern sense, nations are a modern phenomenon as a result of a building process, they argue that ethnic origins have a great impact in the construction process of the nation. In this study, the process of building of nations will be examined by evaluating whether there is a connection between the emergence of nations and ethnic origins. It will be tried to make a situation evaluation in the societies which have the same ethnic origins and international ethnic backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 15px\"><strong>Keywords: <\/strong> Nation, Nationalism, Nation state, Ethnicity.<\/p>\n<h1> Milliyet\u00e7ili\u011fin K\u00f6kenleri: Etnisite\/Ulus (Millet) \u0130li\u015fkisi <\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 15px\";><strong>\u00d6z: <\/strong> Frans\u0131z Devrimi sonras\u0131nda h\u0131zla yay\u0131lan ideolojilerin ba\u015f\u0131nda yer alan milliyet\u00e7ilik, haritalar\u0131 cidd\u00ee boyutta de\u011fi\u015ftirdi ve yeni bir d\u00fcnyan\u0131n ortaya \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flad\u0131. Devletlerin me\u015fruiyetlerini sa\u011flamada geleneksel ara\u00e7lar yetmemeye ba\u015flad\u0131. Devletle birey aras\u0131nda yeni bir ba\u011f ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. Milliyet\u00e7ilik modern d\u00f6nem devletlerinde en belirgin h\u00e2le gelen ara\u00e7 konumuna y\u00fckseldi. Milliyet\u00e7ilik tart\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 olanca h\u0131z\u0131yla s\u00fcrmektedir. Milletlerin do\u011fal bir olgu oldu\u011fu ve k\u00f6klerinin \u00e7ok eski d\u00f6neme kadar gitti\u011fini savunanlar\u0131n yan\u0131nda milletlerin modern d\u00f6nemde ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan baz\u0131 sosyal, ekonomik ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel \u015fartlar alt\u0131nda in\u015fa edildi\u011fini iddia edenler de mevcuttur. Baz\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcrler ise modern anlamda milletlerin bir in\u015fa s\u00fcreci sonucunda modern d\u00f6neme ait bir olgu oldu\u011funu kabul etmekle beraber millet in\u015fa s\u00fcre\u00e7lerinde etnik k\u00f6kenlerin b\u00fcy\u00fck bir etkiye sahip olduklar\u0131n\u0131 ileri s\u00fcrmektedirler. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada milletlerin ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u0131 ile etnik k\u00f6kenlerin bir ba\u011flant\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n olup olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 irdelenerek milletlerin in\u015fa s\u00fcre\u00e7leri tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lacakt\u0131r.
