The media uses symbolic violence expressed by hate speech. In this study, the discourses produced about China and Chinese after the pandemic in Eksi Sozluk, a popular platform of the new media, are examined. The entries were analyzed by content and critical discourse analysis, which themes were used about China and the Chinese, how they were marginalized and defined. As a result, hate speech about the Chinese, the negative stereotypes and prejudices were in circulation, conspiracy rhetoric was applied with the conspiracy theories and nationalist-religious references, dehumanization and intra-humanization were found. New media content, easily produced as its potential to turn into violence, has to be free from hate speech.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 15px\"><strong>Keywords: <\/strong> New media, Violence, Hate speech, Pandemic, Chinese.<\/p>\n<h1> Sosyal Medya ve \u015eiddet: Ek\u015fi S\u00f6zl\u00fck\u2019te \u00c7inli Alg\u0131s\u0131<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 15px\"><strong>\u00d6z: <\/strong> Teknolojik geli\u015fmelerle h\u0131z\u0131, etkisi ve yay\u0131l\u0131m\u0131 artan medya, kurdu\u011fu \u201cger\u00e7eklik\u201dte \u015fiddeti ve egemen de\u011ferleri \u00f6\u011fretmekte, me\u015frula\u015ft\u0131rmakta, yeniden \u00fcreterek normalle\u015ftirmektedir. Medyada nefret s\u00f6ylemiyle ifadesini bulan sembolik bir \u015fiddet kullan\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, yeni medyan\u0131n pop\u00fcler platformu Ek\u015fi S\u00f6zl\u00fck\u2019te pandemiyle birlikte \u00c7in\/\u00c7inliler hakk\u0131nda \u00fcretilen s\u00f6ylemler incelenmi\u015ftir. Ek\u015fi S\u00f6zl\u00fck yazarlar\u0131n\u0131n girdileri, i\u00e7erik ve ele\u015ftirel s\u00f6ylem analiziyle incelenerek, \u00c7in\/\u00c7inlilerle ilgili hangi temalar\u0131n kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131, nas\u0131l \u00f6tekile\u015ftirildikleri ve tan\u0131mland\u0131klar\u0131 ortaya konulmu\u015ftur.
