Despite its denial of being a human creation, as a sub-branch of social sciences the roots and boundaries of finance in economics are obvious: While the discipline of economics concerns with such a vast area of production, sharing and consumption of goods and services, finance focuses on valuation and the market, which are besides mechanism and research subject of economics. This paper aims to critically review the position of finance which has foundations formed by discipline of economics in terms of the concepts and debates in social sciences. The paper, with reference to related debates in the philosophy of science, first contemplates on both social sciences which include finance, and economics which finance intreacts with, and then reviews the scope and problems of finance as a social science; and finally considers alternatives and different approaches that may help finance to create a foresight on its future.<br \/>\n<strong>Keywords: <\/strong>Philosophy of science, Philosophy of social science, Economics, Finance<\/p>\n<h1>\u0130ktisad\u00ee Bir Bilim Dal\u0131 Olarak \u2018Finans\u2019\u0131n Bilim Felsefesi Perspektifinden Ele\u015ftirisi<\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00d6zet:\u00a0<\/strong>Finans\u0131n esas olarak teknik bir alan oldu\u011fu, bilim olarak \u2018finans\u2019\u0131n ise, daha \u00e7ok iktisat ve do\u011fa bilimlerinin y\u00f6ntemsel deste\u011fi ile var oldu\u011fu s\u00f6ylenebilir. \u0130nsan yarat\u0131s\u0131 oldu\u011funu ink\u00e2r eder yap\u0131s\u0131na ra\u011fmen, sosyal bilimlerin bir alt dal\u0131 ve uzant\u0131s\u0131 olarak \u2018finans\u2019\u0131n iktisat i\u00e7indeki k\u00f6kleri ve s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131 belirlidir: Mallar\u0131n \u00fcretimi, payla\u015f\u0131m\u0131 ve t\u00fcketimi gibi geni\u015f s\u00fcreci inceleyen \u2018iktisat\u2019\u0131n bir arac\u0131 ve inceleme alan\u0131 olan para ve piyasaya odaklan\u0131r. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma temellerini iktisat biliminden alan \u2018finans\u2019\u0131n sosyal bilimlerdeki kavram ve tart\u0131\u015fmalar ba\u011flam\u0131nda ele\u015ftirel bir de\u011ferlendirmesini yapmay\u0131 ama\u00e7lamaktad\u0131r. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fmada, bilim felsefesindeki ilgili tart\u0131\u015fmalara referansla, \u00f6nce \u2018finans\u2019\u0131n i\u00e7inde yer ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 sosyal bilim ve etkile\u015fimde oldu\u011fu iktisat bilimi \u00fczerinde durulmu\u015f, daha sonra finans\u2019\u0131n bilimsel a\u00e7\u0131dan konumu ve sorunlar\u0131 de\u011ferlendirilmi\u015ftir.
