Abstract: <\/strong> The last period of the Ottoman Empire was full of economic crises, wars and internal turmoil, and epidemic diseases were also fought. Trade routes coming through Iran and the Caucasus, returning visitors from the holy lands, ships coming to port cities such as Antalya, Istanbul, Izmir and Trabzon have been effective in the spread of the diseases. In such epidemics, methods such as quarantine application, closing borders and hygiene measures were used to prevent the spread. Medical facilities and general economic situation prevented the struggle to be carried out properly. The struggle, which was carried out with different methods, was criticized in the press and at the political level. The measures taken caused problems in areas such as education, transportation and trade, which led to criticism. In this study Ottoman archive documents were used as the main source, the social effects of the II. T\u0131bbi imk\u00e2nlar ve genel ekonomik manzara m\u00fccadelenin sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 yap\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 engellemi\u015ftir. Farkl\u0131 y\u00f6ntemlerle s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclen m\u00fccadele, bas\u0131nda ve siyasal d\u00fczlemde \u00e7e\u015fitli ele\u015ftirilere u\u011fruyordu. Al\u0131nan \u00f6nlemler e\u011fitim, ula\u015f\u0131m ve ticaret gibi alanlarda aksamalara neden oluyor, bu durum ele\u015ftirilere yol a\u00e7\u0131yordu.
