Abstract: <\/strong>Carrying out his journalistic activities in a world that was transformed by the dynamics of the French Revolution and in a period where the grounds of modern societies were established, Gasp\u0131ral\u0131 \u0130smail Beg (Ismail of Gasp\u0131ra) struggled for the improvement of material and moral conditions of the society in which he lived. Performing a clear illustration of the advocacy journalism, Gasp\u0131ral\u0131 \u0130smail Beg steadfastly defended, by using a constructive and peaceful language and a rational discourse, the spread of the knowledge and the education that serve to the social transformation of the Muslim population living within the Russian geography. In this study, Gasp\u0131ral\u0131 \u0130smail Beg\u2019s thoughts are introduced through the review of the related literature, and his journalistic activities are analyzed.

\u00d6zet:<\/strong> Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, \u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fcn 100. y\u0131l\u0131nda Gasp\u0131ral\u0131 \u0130smail\u2019i ve gazetecilik anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131 yeniden ele alarak de\u011ferlendirmek ama\u00e7lanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Dava gazetecili\u011finin \u00f6nemli bir \u00f6rne\u011fini veren Gasp\u0131ral\u0131 \u0130smail Bey, \u00f6mr\u00fc boyunca yap\u0131c\u0131 bir bar\u0131\u015f dili ve ak\u0131lc\u0131 bir s\u00f6ylemle Rus co\u011frafyas\u0131nda ya\u015fayan M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanlar\u2019\u0131n toplumsal d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcmlerinin sa\u011flanmas\u0131na y\u00f6nelik bilginin ve e\u011fitimin yayg\u0131nla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 sebatla savunmu\u015ftur. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, literat\u00fcr taramas\u0131 y\u00f6ntemiyle Gasp\u0131ral\u0131 \u0130smail Bey\u2019in fikirleri incelendi ve bu fikirler \u00e7er\u00e7evesinde y\u00fcr\u00fctt\u00fc\u011f\u00fc gazetecilik eylemleri analiz edildi.
