Artificial Intelligence Policy

As the journal İnsan ve İnsan, we recognize and support new technologies that facilitate conducting research, writing, and dissemination. Artificial intelligence has the potential to increase productivity and promote innovation when used ethically and securely; however, its use without human oversight entails various risks, including the production of inaccurate and biased results, deficiencies and errors in citation practices, inadequacies in the protection of privacy and intellectual property rights, and potential violations of authors’ and publishers’ rights.

The journal İnsan ve İnsan acts in accordance with the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) – Authorship and AI tools regarding the use of artificial intelligence and AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process.

The journal İnsan ve İnsan adopts the following fundamental principles aimed at eliminating potential risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence:

  • Information regarding any artificial intelligence tools used in the content production process must be disclosed in a clear, transparent, and detailed manner in the relevant section of the study (in the acknowledgements/statement and/or the methods section).
  • AI tools cannot be listed as authors in any scientific paper.
  • Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of their work even when artificial intelligence tools are used in any manner; they are also obliged to ensure the proper citation and attribution of others’ ideas, data, expressions, and other materials.
  • Reviewers and editors may not upload, transfer, or otherwise share the submitted work, in whole or in part, with any generative artificial intelligence application, in order to preserve the confidentiality and integrity of the review process.
